Machine Learning 2023 Obergurgl / Venue & Accomodation

Both venue and accommodation of the meeting is Universitätszentrum Obergurgl which is conveniently located in an idyllic mountain village.

So please feel free to bring winter sport equipment and make sure you pack warm enough clothes/shoes (as well as slippers for inside the centre). Be prepared for alpine conditions!

There is a limited number of single rooms at the venue. Most rooms are double rooms with separate beds (126 Euros/night including a nice breakfast buffet and three course dinner). There is a surcharge for single rooms (=50 Euros per day) and a discount for students (=22 Euros per day). So if you are a student (PhDs count as students), please make sure you bring a student ID! Please indicate if you are willing to share a room and if you have a preferred person to do so with!

Transfer from Innsbruck

There will be a bus transfer to Obergurgl for participants on Saturday 8.4.2023 and the other way around on Sunday 16.4.2023. For Saturday the tentative schedule is a departure at 18:00 from Innsbruck main station with a stop at Innsbruck airport around 18:20. If your travel plans don’t allow you to be in Innsbruck before the scheduled bus transfer please let us know. For the way back the same holds true, here the tentative arrival time in Innsbruck is 11:30. The times can be set by us and we will try to accommodate with the largest share of people possible.
Otherwise most of the fast trains stop at Ötztal and there is a public bus to Obergurgl connecting with each train. You can enter Obergurgl as final destination and get the timetable, as well as information on tickets. Just in case: the last possibility is leaving from Innsbruck main train station at 21:48, changing in Öztal to the bus and will have arrive in Obergurgl just before midnight.
